Sanofi has agreed to pay its former CEO Chris Viehbacher a total of €4.44 million ($5.06 million). Reuters reported this weekend that, on top of that amount, Viehbacher will pocket €246,750 each month for half a year until June 30 (a total of €1.48 million [$1.6 million]), for not working for a competitor. Although Sanofi's 2013 annual report said Viehbacher was entitled to two years pay "in the event of his removal from office", the total sum is less than the €5.92 million he is entitled to, Reuters reports.
