CPhI Worldwide Announces Four New Pharma Award Categories

 CPhI Worldwide reports that there are four additional categories in its CPhI Pharma Awards for 2016, covering the entire pharmaceutical supply chain.

This year’s awards are open to applications from across the pharmaceutical industry and are split into 12 categories, four more categories than in 2015, in an effort to accommodate the increased demand from companies across the pharma supply chain. Emphasising the burgeoning reputation of the CPhI Pharma Awards, in 2015, there was a 100% increase in entries and CPhI is expecting even more interest in 2016.

Following the trends in the market, and the growth in APIs and Excipients, this category has now been split into two separate awards: ‘Excellence in API Development’ and ‘Excellence in Formulation and Excipients’. A new category is also being created to acknowledge achievements in drug delivery devices - ‘Excellence in Pharma: Drug Delivery Devices’. 

Additionally, new categories include ‘Excellence in Pharma: Regulatory Procedures and Compliance’,  ‘Excellence in Pharma: Analysis, Testing and Quality Control’, and ‘Excellence in Pharma: Corporate Social Responsibility’.

CPhI commented: "The expanded awards have been created to give wider recognition to all the great advances and technologies coming out of the pharma industry."

Entries are free of charge and the submission deadline is August 14, 2016 with finalists announced in September. The winners will be unveiled at CPhI Worldwide (2-4 October, 2016) during the CPhI Pharma Awards Gala.
