The EDQM are looking to recruit a Scientific Programme Officer to join the team in co-ordinating and running mutual joint visits and audits of laboratories within the Official Medicines Control Laboratories (OMCLs) for a five year duration.

The successful candidate will be working with the EDQM team together with partners from the OMCL network to plan, prepare, co-ordinate and run mutual joint visits and audits in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and the General European OMCL Network Quality Management Guidelines. Therefore, proven experience in Quality Management Systems (e.g. running quality audits, drafting QA documents, Corrective and Preventive Action Management gained either in the pharmaceutical industry or a Competent Authority (for example an inspectorate or an OMCL) is essential.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level (in pharmacy, biology, chemistry or an equivalent qualification). He/she will have a very good level of English; knowledge of French would be an advantage. The successful candidate will also have the ability to manage projects to deliver results while at the same time demonstrating the capability to develop and build teams and relationships. In addition, he/she will have excellent advisory and negotiating skills topped off with a sense of diplomacy.
