Niko Andre, MD, is Global Franchise Head, Hematology and Immuno Oncology at AstraZeneca.
He is responsible for building and advancing the global hematology and immuno oncology franchises including driving global commercial strategies, product launches and lifecycle management.
He is a medical oncologist by training and has first-hand experience treating and managing hematologic malignancies. He is passionate about translating scientific progress into clinically meaningful outcomes for patients living with serious disease and looking beyond the pill across the entire healthcare ecosystem to treat and support the patient wherever they are in their disease journey.
Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Niko spent nearly 15 years at the Roche Group having most recently served as Senior Vice President, Global Head Medical Affairs, Pharma. In this role, he was responsible for the creation, resourcing and implementation of a global medical strategy contributing to lifecycle entry decision, filing, launch, health technology assessment and commercialization for the entire pharma portfolio. This included compounds within oncology, hematology, neuroscience, rare diseases, immunology, infectious disease and ophthalmology.
