PHARMACEUTICAL EXECUTIVE WINS ANOTHER PRESTIGIOUS NEAL AWARD
CLEVELAND, OHIO -March 20, 2003- Advanstar Communications Inc. announced that its Pharmaceutical Executive magazine was awarded, for the second year in a row, the coveted Jesse H. Neal National Business Journalism Award for editorial excellence from the American Business Media (ABM). Pharmaceutical Executive’s Managing Editor Judy Sawyer accepted the award in front of hundreds of business publishing peers at the awards luncheon at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City on March 12. Also in attendance from the winning editorial team were L.J. Sellers, Sibyl Shalo, Joanna Breitstein and Al Branch.
Pharmaceutical Executive received top-honors in the Best Single Issue of a Magazine category beating Ziff Davis Media’s CIO Insight and Jobson Publishing Company’s Review of Optometry.
The team’s entry was also named the third runner up for the Grand Neal. The Grand Neal is awarded to the publication judged to have the best entry. This year there were 1,093 entries. Pharmaceutical Executive took home the Grand Neal award in last year’s competition for its Discovery! series of articles.
