The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) last week unveiled new advertising as part of its “From Hope to Cures” campaign, highlighting the stories of patients, families and biopharmaceutical researchers. The first ad in the new series features Rhys, a five-year-old living with type 1 diabetes, as the face of "hope". The collection of ads will be featured in print, radio, digital and social channels throughout the year. Advertisements and promotion will run on a variety of platforms in Washington, D.C. and select states. “From Hope to Cures” launched in January 2014 to highlight the value biopharmaceutical innovation provides to patients, society and the economy. The campaign website features stories of real patients and researchers, provides data and information on fighting diseases and an interactive map shows the economic contributions of the industry.
